Some Like It Classic, one of the most beloved film programmes in Rome, is now in its third year of unearthing masterpieces of Cinema history, shown in their original 35mm format on the big screen, as originally intended. Audiences will be able to enjoy the work of such great directors as Truffaut, Bergman - with a screening of the seldom seen After the Rehearsal -, Fassbinder, Tarkovsky - with his striking first movie, Ivan's Childhood -, Coppola, Wenders, Oshima, Rohmer and Joseph Mankiewicz - with the legendary All About Eve, the first screening of the programme. There will also be works by Italian directors: Dov'è la libertà...? by Rossellini, and a restored print of the epic Once Upon  A Time In The West, by Sergio Leone. The programme will also take a meaningful trip to classic Hollywood Cinema, with Top Hat, the most celebrated musical starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and the pivotal Sunrise, the first American production by Murnau. Some Like It Classic again offers audiences a unique chance to enjoy the pleasures of great Cinema.
