France 1986, directed by Éric Rohmer, starring Marie Rivière, Vincent Gauthier, Rosette, color, 94', 35mm Italian dubbed version
Delphine is an introvert girl without a clue about what to do on her summer holidays. She goes out roaming through France, but it turns out a real disappointment: she suffers from an inability to make friends and she's unlucky too. She's ready to give up and accept her loneliness when an unexpected encounter gives her new hope. Le Rayon Vert is a perfect example of Rohmer's miraculous style that, as few others, is able to register the most secret stirrings of the human soul and to reveal the hidden magic in everyday life. The film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
