Setting out with the intention of recording the conditions of the Sahrawi, the native population of the Western Sahara, two Australian film directors discover a hidden reality: the existence of slavery in the Frente Polisario's refugee camps. Amid threats, political pressure and intelligence services, Fallshaw and Ayala find themselves caught up in international intrigue and their documentary turns into a spy story.
