Gillo Dorfles - art critic, historian, theoretician and first-hand witness - will be recounting the story of his initial approach to American art and the then embryonic Avant-Garde, a story that began with Pollock, de Kooning, Still and Francis, the artists responsible for the rebellion against the academia of Cubism and Surrealism that still triumphed between the two world wars.
