Film costumes

Animated exhibition tour and workshop for primary schools

A tour of the exhibition to discover the many faces of Pier Paolo Pasolini: writer, poet, filmmaker and actor. We will be focusing in particular on the film costumes designed by celebrated craftsmen. The Cubo will be hosting some of the costumes from the historic Sartoria Teatrale Farani. The workshop, designed to conjure up a costume department, will be hosting original materials from the Pieroni workshop known throughout the world for its hats and headgear. An opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the craft of costumiers who design the costumes and choose the fabrics, the colours and everything that goes into making film characters unforgettable. An activity to familiarise with dummies, paper patterns, fabrics and passemanterie, and to produce a scaled-down version of a film costume.
