Praying for Armageddon is a political thriller exploring the dangerous consequences of the merger between Evangelical Christianity and politics in the United States. The product of years of research, the documentary reveals how the structures of fundamentalism are undermining the fabric of US democracy, also highlighting religion’s devastating impact on the country’s foreign policy. Amid religious foundations, huge Evangelical churches and murky manoeuvring behind the scenes in Washington, this is a tale from the inside of a movement, led by preachers and politicians blinded by their prophetic vision of the end of time, that has been fuelling the spiral of violence in the Middle East for years and that ultimately aims to desroy our very civilisation.
