Christian Legagneur is a popular television presenter who gladly accepts an offer from journalist Roland Wolf to write his biography. But Roland is actually searching for his sister, who disappeared after staying at Legagneur's villa... A vintage Chabrol film which, like the director's best works, uses the crime genre to expose the dynamics of power and bourgeois hypocrisy. Excellent performance by Philippe Noiret, who won an award in Berlin.
