exhibition tour and workshop for primary schools, to tie in with The Mechanics of Monsters. From Carlo Rambaldi to Makinarium

Do you have any idea just how much art and science lurks behind the success of a film with special effects? Travel with us behind the scenes of the cinema and its history to explore the tricks, complex mechanisms and software capable of going beyond even the wildest stretch of the imagination. Make-believe and reality, mechanics and electronics, computer science and craftsmanship all come skilfully together to create spectacular situations, places and characters. ET, King Kong and the characters from Alien are only some of the 'people' we will be meeting at the exhibition and who will be inspiring the girls' and boys' work in the workshop activity.
