Why war

June 19 2025, 08:00 pm - War
Followed by an encounter with Alfredo Lombardozzi and historian Bruno Tobia with the intervention of Andrea Auletta

directed by Amos Gitai. Italy, 2024, 87 min.

The League of Nations asked Albert Einstein in 1932 to choose a thinker with whom to debate a topic of his choice. Einstein chose Sigmund Freud and the question around which the debate developed was this: Why war? Why do people fight each other? This poetic movie speaks of war without showing it and defines the modern take on mass human violence through the exchange of two great thinkers.
