Elisabetta Fadda

The significance of the story of Diana and Acteon, which Parmigianino painted for the decorative scheme in the Rocca Sanvitale in Fontanellato, has always posed scholars an iconographical conundrum, until now.  Elisabetta Fadda, a lecturer at the Università degli Studi di Parma, will be revealing the deeper meaning of the frescoes, whose images are glossed by a long caption and by a mirror around whose frame runs the motto "RESPICE FINEM".
