Menschen am Sonntag, 85 min., Germany 1930, silent movie with German and Italian intertitles, 20 fps, directed by Robert Siodmak, with Curt Siodmak, Edgar Ulmer and Fred Zinnemann
The lives of five Berliners randomly fished out of the crowd, cross paths in the space of a weekend. This cult movie was devised in a coffee shop by a "dream team" of young writers bent on making a break with the past and bound for future success: the Siodmak brothers, Ulmer, Zinnemann and Billy Wilder for the script.
