directed by Robert Altman, starring Paul Dooley, Marta Heflin and Titos Vandis, USA 1979, 110 min., DCP, original version with Italian subtitles
A fifty-something-year-old man living in a traditional environment meets a young girl who plays in a rock group. Altman has fun orchestrating a meeting between two seemingly irreconcilable worlds, exploring love in the guise of an obstacle race with his customary irreverent depth. As in Nashville, so here, too, music is the leading player, underscoring the transformations in a rapidly changing society.
