The relationship between a writer and serial seducer and his sister, both of them divorced and both on the edge of a nervous breakdown. The director's one but last film, it may also rank among his most sincere work, marking "a further step in the anthropology of excess towards that cinema of difference that makes it unique" (Arecco). The film won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival.
