In Filippino Lippi's life and artistic career, his work in the Strozzi Chapel in Santa Maria Novella, Florence, and in the Carafa Chapel in Rome were closely linked.  One might even say that they were enmeshed like some precious jewel, a tight interweave of art and life, a gripping tale of politics and history.
