Pending the arrival of the third edition of the SILENT BOOKS – FINAL DESTINATION LAMPEDUSA exhibition, on the slate for this autumn at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the Art Workshop in conjunction with IBBY Italia is promoting an international competition entitled A Poster for Lampedusa Library. The competition, open to all illustrators, involves producing a poster dedicated to Lampedusa Library with a library in the heart of the Mediterranean as its theme.

The winning poster, selected by a jury of experts, will be used as the official image to publicise the third edition of the travelling exhibition.

Plates can be produced using any technique. Originals (35 x 50 cm) must be sent by 15 June 2017 to:

A digital image in .jpg format (300 dpi) must be e-mailed to scaffaledarte@palaexpo.it and must include a caption (artist, title, technique) and a short biography of the artist.

A selection of plates will also be presented in the context of the exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.

Entering the competition automatically binds the artist to freely grant IBBY Italia the right to reproduce any work and/or images submitted and to disseminate said work and/or images for promotional purposes and/or in support of IBBY projects and schemes, with the undertaking that both the artist's name and the title of the work and/or image used shall be mentioned on every occasion.

No originals will be returned.
