The course focuses on teaching participants a working method for use in the classroom designed to breathe life into the language and practices of contemporary art through the primary elements of an artistic vocabulary underpinning a potential visual grammar.

We will be exploring the relationship between education and aesthetics, showing participants how to set up a workshop and to choose from a broad range of materials, and considering the importance of the image in illustrated books.  Participants will complete the course by designing their own workshop on the basis of a theme assigned to them.
